Yamb Standard Pro for PC

Want to play Yamb Standard Pro on PC? This strategic dice game blends luck, planning, and experience into a compelling scoring challenge. Roll five dice up to three times per turn, hold the ones you need, and fill four separate columns with specific combinations. The deeper you get into Yamb Standard Pro's rule structure, the more skill matters—making it a perfect fit for PC play where you can take your time and focus on strategy.

Yamb Standard Pro translates a classic board game to your computer, keeping all the depth of the original while giving you the space to think through your moves. Each turn involves rolling five dice and deciding which combinations to pursue across four distinct columns, each with its own filling rules and structure.

The Column System

The heart of Yamb Standard Pro is managing four columns simultaneously. The Down column fills from 1 to Yamb in order with no skipping. The Free column lets you fill boxes however you choose with no restrictions. The Up column fills from Yamb down to 1 in order. The Announcement column requires you to pick one box after your first roll and fill it by turn's end. This structure forces you to balance immediate scoring opportunities with long-term planning.

Scoring and Strategy

Points come from matching dice combinations. The upper section includes six boxes for scoring ones through sixes, where you add up all matching dice. Once you fill all six upper boxes in a column, the game totals them as Sum1—and if that sum reaches 60 or more points, you earn a 30-point bonus. The middle and lower sections follow their own rules and scoring patterns, rewarding different dice combinations as you work toward the highest possible total.

Turn Mechanics

On your turn, you roll five dice and can hold any of them after the first or second roll, then roll the rest again. You can also choose to end your turn early if you're satisfied with your result. After each turn, you enter your score into the table in the appropriate box for that column. This flexibility—deciding when to push for better rolls versus locking in what you have—separates skilled players from casual ones.
